Jamaican Inspired Beef Patty Wraps Recipe
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. (20 degrees less for a fan oven)

  2. In a large frying pan, add the onion, pepper, spring onions and garlic. Cook for 2-5 minutes until softened.

  3. Add the beef mince and allow to cook until browned.

  4. Once browned add the red chill, Garam masala, smoked paprika, turmeric, salt and thyme. Mix well and reduce the heat.

  5. Crumble in the stock cube, then add the brown sauce, Worcester sauce, lime juice, and a few tablespoons of water. Cook until a sauce forms, you may need to add a little water if required.

  6. Once this has cooked, remove from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.

  7. Using your round wrap, put 2 tablespoons of mixture in the centre of your round wrap, then fold over and use a press to crimp the edges, or just fold over with your hands and use a fork to crimp the edges.

  8. Brush each patty with plenty of whisked-up egg, this helps it get the golden colour.

  9. Cook in the oven for 25 minutes, until golden and crispy.

  10. Serve hot or cold.
