Cherry Soup
  1. Macerate the cherries, add water or juice.

  2. Boil for 5 minutes then add orange juice and cinnamon.

  3. Mix the cornflour with a small quantity of water to make a slurry and add to cherries.

  4. Add sugar and heat for 5 minutes.

  5. Add sour cream and, while stirring, heat but do not boil, until cream has dissolved.

  6. Allow to cool, then refrigerate.
