Cream butter and sugars for 2 minutes on medium speed.
Add eggs and beat on high for 1 minute. Scrape down bowl.
Mix in vanilla and molasses until combined.
Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
Add dry ingredients to wet, mix on low.
Stir in oats, raisins, and walnuts (optional).
Chill dough for 30–60 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets.
Scoop 2 Tbsp dough balls 2 inches apart.
Bake 12–14 minutes until golden at edges, soft in center.
Cool 5 mins on sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
