FIRST STEP:In a heavy skillet, add Vegetable oil, about 2.5 quarts
Heat the oil over medium heat
In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon and stir to blend together
Set this to the side
Open the can of biscuits and separate the biscuits
With the palm of your hand flatten each biscuit slightly
SECOND STEP:In the center of each flattened biscuit spoon 1 tbsp of the pie filling
Place two halves of a caramel on the top of the apple pie filling
Using your fingers, pull up lightly and pinch the dough together to seal
THIRD STEP:Roll the dough into a ball as much as possible
Using a slotted Spoon gently place up to two of the round biscuit balls into the hot oil and continuously roll the pie bomb to brown all sides
When all sides are golden, carefully remove the pie bomb using the slotted spoon and place in the cinnamon sugar
Roll the pie bomb to entirely coat the bomb and then set on a cooling rack to cool slightly
Serve immediately or drizzle caramel topping and a dollop of whipped cream
