  2. Whisk melted, cooled butter, sugar, and vanilla together in a large bowl until smooth.

  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in evaporated milk, cornmeal, and vinegar until the filling is fully blended and smooth.

  4. Pour filling into parbaked pie shell and place on a baking sheet.

  5. Bake until the center is set and the top is golden brown, 40 to 50 minutes.
