Onion Buttered Rice
  1. Fry your sliced onions in butter for 5 minutes in a saucepan. Your onions will caramelise and your butter will brown.

  2. Then toss your uncooked rice in and make sure every grain is well coated. Transfer to a rice cooker if preferred.

  3. Add your vegetable stock and seasonings. Cook on a normal rice setting, or with the lid on if on the stove top.

  4. Serve hot and garnish with fried shallots.
