Ice Box Cookies
  1. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients: flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.

  2. Cream sugars and shortening together. DO NOT over cream.

  3. Add eggs one at a time.

  4. Add dry ingredients to mixer in 3 additions.

  5. Stir or fold in nuts by hand.

  6. Form planks of dough about 1 ½ inches in thickness and about 2 ½ inches wide. Wrap in waxed paper or Saran.

  7. Refrigerator overnight or until firm, minimum 4 hours.

  8. Slice about ¼ to ⅜ inch thick.

  9. Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes. Cool on sheet 5 minutes before moving to
