Chocolate-dipped Crunchy Butter Cookies
  1. Soften the butter until very smooth, then add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.

  2. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Optionally add vanilla bean, lemon zest, or rum to taste.

  3. Add the milk at room temperature and whisk until the mixture is smooth.

  4. Add the sifted flour and mix until just combined.

  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe desired shapes (cookies will expand in the oven).

  6. Bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

  7. Let cookies cool completely before dipping in melted chocolate.

  8. Sprinkle brown sugar on top while chocolate is still melted but slightly cooled.
