Butter Knots

  3. Gradually add all-purpose flour (starting with 4½ cups and adding more as needed) until dough forms

  4. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic

  5. Shape the dough into knots

  6. Top each knot with 1 teaspoon of butter

  7. Allow to rise until fluffy

  8. Bake until golden brown
