Add the olive oil and onion to your saucepan and heat over medium heat. Sweat onion for 5-10 minutes or until soft and translucent.
Add garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
Add to the saucepan apple butter, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Incorporate until smooth.
Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce to a simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Pour into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
