Triple Layer Oreo Cake
Ingredients
Chocolate Cake Base:
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
½ cup (50g) dark cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 large eggs
½ cup (120ml) buttermilk
½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup (120ml) hot water
Oreo Cream Cheese Layer:
450g (16oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups (360ml) heavy whipping cream
12 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
Chocolate Caramel Ganache:
1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
3 tbsp caramel sauce
Garnish:
8 whole Oreo cookies
Directions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth, then stir in hot water until fully combined.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake 28–32 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks, then fold into the cream cheese mixture. Fold in crushed Oreos.
Spread the Oreo cream layer evenly over the cooled chocolate base. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Heat heavy cream until just simmering, pour over chocolate chips, let sit 2 minutes, stir smooth. Stir in caramel sauce.
Pour ganache over the chilled cream layer, spreading to the edges. Refrigerate 30 minutes until set.
Place one whole Oreo cookie on top of each slice before serving.
