Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, whisk together cranberry sauce, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Rub the glaze all over the ribeye roast.
Place the roast in a roasting pan and roast for 30-40 minutes for medium-rare, or longer for desired level of doneness.
During the last 15 minutes of cooking, baste the roast with the remaining glaze.
Let the roast rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
