Upside Down Apple Tarts
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Cut the puff pastry into 6 rectangles and set them aside.

  3. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray and drizzle honey into 6 rectangles that are slightly smaller than the puff pastry sheets.

  4. Evenly distribute the brown sugar, butter, and optional cinnamon across the 6 honey-drizzled rectangles.

  5. Arrange 6 apple slices on each rectangle, ensuring they overlap so that the skin is not visible.

  6. Cover each rectangle with a piece of puff pastry and gently press down to secure the apples.

  7. Brush the tops with the egg wash, then bake for 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown.

  8. Allow to cool briefly before serving, either on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
