  1. Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. Give it a good stir to make sure everything is combined

  2. Cover and leave in a warm place for a couple of hours until at least doubled in size

  3. Tip the dough out of the bowl and shape into a log

  4. Divide the log into 12 equal portions

  5. Take each bit of dough and pinch together into a ball

  6. Place the dough balls in a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper

  7. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until almost doubled

  8. To make the cross, mix flour and water until a thick paste is formed

  9. Transfer to a piping bag and pipe crosses across the buns

  10. Place the buns in an oven at 180C for 23 minutes, until golden

  11. Make the glaze by mixing sugar with a bit of boiling water to make a syrup

  12. When the buns are cooked, take them out of the oven and brush with the glaze

  13. Transfer the buns onto a wire rack to cook

  14. Take apart the buns and enjoy!
