Fench Onion Pork Chops
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  2. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. Push the onions to the side of the skillet and add the pork chops. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.

  4. Pour the beef broth into the skillet, scraping the bottom to mix in the flavors. Sprinkle the thyme over the top.

  5. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens a little.

  6. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the pork chops and cover again. Cook until the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes.

  7. Serve the pork chops hot, topped with the caramelized onions and sauce.
