Cook chopped apples with water and turmeric, simmer covered for 10 minutes or until soft and skin is opaque.
In a separate bowl, mix jumbo oats, ground almonds, ground oats, 1 tbs cinnamon, ground flaxseeds, almond butter, stewed apples, and salt.
Press ¾ of the base mixture into a lined container (e.g., 20cm square pan).
Top the base with the remaining stewed apples.
Mix the remaining base mixture with 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.
Rub the cinnamon mixture over the stewed apples and sprinkle it on top.
Place in a preheated oven for 25 minutes.
