Preheat oven to 350
Prepare a 9 inch Cake Pan with Butter and Flour.
Melt 1 cup sugar in heavy skillet & cook until browned.
Slowly Add Water until Blended to a Caramel Sauce.
Add Apples and coat with Caramel sauce.
Cook Apples in sauce for 2 minutes.
Pour Apples & Caramel Sauce into the prepared cake pan.
Beat 3 eggs & cinnamon until well blended.
Add ½ cup sugar, melted Butter & ½ C water (or milk), Vanilla & Salt.
Add 2 Cups Flour & 1 Tbsp. Baking powder slowly until well blended into a batter.
Pour Batter into cake pan over caramel & Apples. Spread evenly.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350* for 35 minutes.
Remove from oven. Rest on wire rack for 10-15 minutes.
Turn cake pan upside down onto a serving plate. Cool slightly to set a little to make it easier to slice.
Slice into wedges & serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream.
