Peel the cucumbers and slice them thinly. Place them in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix sour cream, dill, white vinegar, salt, sugar, and garlic powder until smooth.
Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and toss gently to coat.
Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
