Homemade Pop-tarts
  1. Pulse pastry ingredients in a food processor.

  2. Form into a ball, cut in half, and chill for 2 hrs.

  3. Let 1 half sit at room temp for 5 mins, then roll into a rectangle.

  4. Cut into 9 equal squares, place on a parchment-lined pan, and chill.

  5. Repeat with second half.

  6. Mix filling.

  7. In a small bowl, whisk 1 egg + 2 tsp milk for egg wash.

  8. Brush egg wash on the first 9 squares.

  9. Add 1 tbsp filling to each.

  10. Top with the second 9 squares, crimp edges with a fork, and brush with more egg wash.

  11. Bake at 350°F for 25 mins.

  12. Let cool, then mix frosting and drizzle on top!
