Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!
Combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
Add vanilla, eggs, buttermilk, and oil and stir until combined
Once combined, add the hot coffee.
Pour the batter into 3 greased and floured round cake pan and cook for 30-35 minutes.
Make sure the cakes are completely cooled before icing them.
In a small pan over medium heat, heat cream and sugar until hot but just before boiling.
In a bowl add chocolate and pour in the hot cream mixture and stir until smooth.
Set in the fridge until cooled but don't let it get too hard.
Ice the cake with the cooled ganache!
