Puff Pastry Cheese Straws
  1. Grate 8 oz of cheddar cheese and set aside.

  2. In a bowl, combine 2 large eggs, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 ½ Tbsp Dijon mustard, and ½ tsp cracked black pepper. Mix well.

  3. In another bowl, combine ¼ cup light brown sugar, 1 Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes, and ½ tsp smoked paprika.

  4. Flour a work surface and roll out 4 sheets of cold puff pastry. Brush one sheet with the egg wash and sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese.

  5. Place another puff pastry sheet on top and gently press together. Cut into thin strips using a pizza cutter.

  6. Twist each strip in the opposite direction and pinch the ends to keep the shape.

  7. Brush the tops of the twisted straws with the remaining egg wash.

  8. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
