John Ashby's Shortcut Pastry Recipe
  1. Whizz up the flour, icing sugar and COLD butter (cut up into squares), until it looks like breadcrumbs.

  2. Then add the yolk.

  3. Add COLD water until it forms a loose dough.

  4. Knead together briefly.

  5. Wrap in Cling Wrap and place in the fridge for a minimum of 20 minutes.

  6. Take out and use as required.

Can be frozen.

Ensure fully thawed before use.
