Pecan Sandies: Buttery, Crumbly, And Perfectly Nutty
  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Mix in vanilla and salt.

  3. Gradually add flour until just combined.

  4. Fold in chopped pecans.

  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, place on baking sheet, and flatten slightly.

  6. Bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

  7. Optional: While still warm, roll in powdered sugar for that classic 'snowy' look.

  8. Pulse pecans first until finely ground.

  9. Remove pecans. Add flour + cold butter cubes + powdered sugar + salt to blender.

  10. Pulse until it looks like coarse meal.

  11. Add vanilla and ground pecans. Pulse a few more times until dough just comes together.

  12. Turn dough onto plastic wrap, press into a log, chill for 30 minutes.

  13. Slice into rounds or roll into balls. Bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes.
