  3. Whisk to ensure all cornstarch is dissolved

  4. Microwave at full power for 4 minutes to dissolve sugar and activate cornstarch

  5. Remove from microwave and whisk periodically

  6. Microwave for an additional 2 minutes at full power until sauce thickens

  7. Add egg yolks and whisk to combine and incorporate well

  8. Microwave at 50% power for 45 seconds to gently cook the egg yolks

  9. Remove and whisk lightly

  10. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds at 50% power

  11. Add vanilla and whisk until smooth

  12. Serve as a finishing sauce for desserts
