Traditional Flour Tortillas
  1. Fluff the flour and place it into a bowl.

  2. Add the salt to the flour and mix.

  3. Add the lard to the flour and mix until it resembles a crumbly texture.

  4. Add half the water and mix, then add the remaining water and mix until a sticky dough forms.

  5. Knead the dough for 4-5 minutes until smooth.

  6. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  7. Divide the dough into 10-12 balls.

  8. Roll each ball into a thin round tortilla.

  9. Cook the tortillas on a hot cast iron pan for 20-30 seconds per side.
