  4. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir until fully dissolved.

  5. Continue cooking over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the syrup thickens and turns light yellow.

  6. Pour the syrup mixture into a square or rectangular food storage container.

  7. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature before covering it with a lid and refrigerating it for at least 2 hours.

  8. After 2 hours, run a thin knife around the edges of the container.

  9. Gently lift the jelly from the mold by inserting the knife underneath and pulling it out.
