Preheat oven to 350ºF and prepare 9x13 metal baking pan by lining bottom and sides with parchment paper.
For the crust, pulse together the flour, powdered sugar, butter, and salt until coarse crumbs form. This will take some time, so be patient!
Press crust into the bottom of the prepared baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. While crust is baking, prepare the filling.
For the filling, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until combined. Whisk in the eggs until combined, then mix in the pecans.
Once crust is finished baking, immediately pour filling onto hot crust and bake for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, gently lay a piece of foil over the top of the bars. Try not to touch the filling. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes longer (if needed) until there is a slight jiggle in the middle of the bars.
Let completely cool on wire rack before cutting and serving.
