Add two eggs and 1 cup of sugar to a bowl and mix well
Add 250 g of orange juice, the zest of one orange, and mix again
Add 200 g of oil and stir
Add 2 cups of sifted flour and mix until smooth
Add 1 tbsp of baking powder and mix just until combined
Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan
Bake in a preheated oven at 180° C (350° F) for 40 minutes
Combine 200 ml orange juice with 7 tbsp of sugar in a pan and let it boil to make the syrup
Pour the hot syrup over the baked cake and let it rest for 5 minutes
Turn the cake out onto a plate and serve
