  1. Get your pan nice and hot and sear the seasoned steak for 2½ to 3 minutes per side

  2. Let the beef rest for 8–10 minutes

  3. While the beef rests, make the dressing by mixing together all dressing ingredients

  4. Cut and prep the salad ingredients and place them all in a bowl

  5. Slice up the beef and add it to the salad

  6. Pour the dressing over the salad, toss and serve with more fried shallots
