Lightly butter the inside of your slow cooker to prevent sticking
Add rice, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine
Cover and cook on high for 2-2.5 hours, stirring occasionally until the rice is tender and the mixture is thick and creamy
If the pudding is too thick, stir in a splash more milk. It will thicken slightly as it cools
Enjoy warm or chilled, topped with a sprinkle of jam
