Toffee Pretzel Christmas Crack
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Arrange the mini pretzels (or saltine crackers) in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a boil. Allow it to boil for 3 minutes without stirring.

  4. Pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

  5. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes and make sure the toffee is bubbling and golden.

  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips over the toffee layer. Return to the oven and let melt for 1 minute. Then spread the melted chocolate evenly.

  7. Sprinkle your choice of festive toppings over the melted chocolate. I suggest Heath bar bits for extra toffee flavor.

  8. Allow the Christmas crack to cool and set-up completely before breaking it into pieces. I suggest placing it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.

  9. Store in an airtight container and room temperature.
