Soft Homemade Dinner Rolls
  1. Combine warm water and yeast

  2. Add butter, salt, sugar, egg, and flour; mix and knead 10 minutes

  3. Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and rise 40 minutes

  4. Punch down and divide into rolls

  5. Cover and rise 30 minutes

  6. Bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes

  7. To freeze: Shape rolls, place on baking sheet uncovered and freeze until firm (about 3 hours), then transfer to freezer bag

  8. To bake frozen rolls: Place on greased baking sheet, let thaw and rise about 4 hours until doubled, then bake as normal
