Combine warm water and yeast
Add butter, salt, sugar, egg, and flour; mix and knead 10 minutes
Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and rise 40 minutes
Punch down and divide into rolls
Cover and rise 30 minutes
Bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes
To freeze: Shape rolls, place on baking sheet uncovered and freeze until firm (about 3 hours), then transfer to freezer bag
To bake frozen rolls: Place on greased baking sheet, let thaw and rise about 4 hours until doubled, then bake as normal
