Bacon, Apple, & Cheddar Grilled Cheese
  1. In a skillet over medium high heat, add the olive oil. Add the shallots to sauté for 4-5 minutes, until slightly browned and fragrant. Remove from heat.

  2. If the bacon hasn’t been cooked, you can cook it in this same skillet.

  3. On a slice of sourdough, layer the sliced raw sharp cheddar cheese, thinly sliced apples, bacon, sautéed shallots, and honey to taste.

  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  5. Sandwich with the second slice of sourdough bread.

  6. Generously butter both sides of the bread.

  7. Place on a heated griddle or skillet to cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy. Enjoy warm!
