Old Fashioned Butter Mints
  1. Cream one stick of unsalted butter

  2. Add four cups of powdered sugar and one tablespoon of heavy cream to the creamed butter

  3. Add a splash of clear vanilla to the mixture

  4. Add a splash of peppermint oil (about 3-5 drops or to taste)

  5. Mix the ingredients together until combined

  6. Add one drop of food coloring and mix until the desired color is achieved

  7. Dust parchment paper and your hands with powdered sugar

  8. Roll the mixture into small balls

  9. Roll the balls into snake-like shapes on the powdered sugar

  10. Cut the rolled mixture into small mint pieces using a butter knife

  11. Place the mints on a pan and let them dry for 24 hours

  12. Serve and enjoy
