Light up one very full charcoal chimney and spread it across the back half of the grill.
Toss your drumsticks in olive oil, salt and pepper.
Place them directly over the coals to get a good sear. Flip every 5 minutes until the skin looks a little crisp.
As each drumstick completes the sear, place it to the front of the grill away from the coals.
Once you have all your chicken up front, close the lid and set a timer for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, sauce, flip and sauce the other side. Close the lid for another 20 minutes.
Optional: You can sauce each side again and place them directly over the coals flipping them around for another 5 minutes to tighten up the sauce and get a crispy outer layer.
Plate it up! Juicy and crispy in every bite!
