In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Add the broccoli florets during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If using, add Italian seasoning and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
Plate the Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
