Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
Line a muffin tray with cupcake liners or grease the pan
In a bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl whisk together eggs, milk, oil or melted butter, and vanilla extract
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
Mix gently until just combined
Fold in the chocolate chips
Fill each muffin cup ¾ full
Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top
Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean
