Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside
Unroll the pizza dough. You may want to sprinkle flour on the surface before rolling out pizza dough to prevent sticking.
Spread half the pizza sauce onto the dough and sprinkle the cheese over the sauce.
Roll the dough lengthwise (long way) into a log and slice it into 12 equal pieces.
Place the pinwheels onto the prepared sheet pan.
Bake for 17-20 minutes in preheated oven until golden brown.
Warm the remaining sauce to dip your pinwheels in, and enjoy.
