In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp olive oil with all the seasonings & mix well. toss the shrimp in the marinade. Add the cornstarch to a bowl & coat each carinated shrimp until evenly coated.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until they turn golden and crispy. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
In a bowl mix together all the sauce ingredients & in the same skillet, pour out the mixture. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.
Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the sauce to coat.
Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and red pepper flakes for a kick of heat.
