Homemade Lasagna
  1. Brown the pork and sausage in a pot, then remove and set aside.

  2. Sauté the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic in the pot.

  3. Deglaze the pot with white wine and add a bouquet garni of herbs.

  4. Add the tomatoes and seasonings, then return the meat to the pot and simmer for 1.5 hours.

  5. Remove the bouquet garni and shred the pork.

  6. Layer the sauce, pasta, and cheeses in a baking dish.

  7. Bake the lasagna covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 30 more minutes.

  8. Let the lasagna rest for 30 minutes before serving.
