Baked Spicy Fish With Tarator Sauce samakah harra
  1. In a frypan, toast the nuts with a little olive oil. Remove when golden and keep aside.

  2. In the same frypan heat the olive oil on medium to hot heat and when ready fry the coriander, garlic and onion for 3-4 minutes. Add the spices and season to taste. Remove from heat.

  3. Preheat the oven to 190C (fan forced).

  4. Prepare the fillets on a shallow baking tray and gently rub ¾ of the cooked spice and herb sauce all over the fillets. Keep the remaining quarter aside for garnishing. Transfer the fish into the oven and bake for 10minutes.

  5. Whilst baking, whisk the tarator ingredients until smooth. After 15mins of baking, remove the fish and gently pour over the tarator. Return to the oven and bake for a further 10mins.

  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle remaining spice and herb sauce as well as garnish with the toasted slivered almonds and pine nuts.

  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and flat bread.
