Season the chicken thigh with salt and pepper. Coat the chicken with cornstarch and shake off excess. Set aside
In a pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken skin side down and fry each side for 7 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.
In the same skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in garlic, shallots and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Next, add in garlic powder, italian seasoning, chili flakes and paprika. Sauté for 30 seconds.
Add in chicken broth, heavy cream and cook until the sauce thickens.
Turn off the heat, add in lemon juice, parmesan cheese and give it a good mix until the cheese dissolves.
Add back the chicken and baste the chicken with the sauce.
Serve with hot steamed rice and enjoy!
