Healthy Homemade Butter Chicken
  1. Marinate chicken breast cubes with 2 tbsp fat free greek yogurt, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tsp minced ginger, 1 tsp olive oil, 1 tbsp garam masala, and ½ tsp each of turmeric, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper

  2. Heat 2 tsp butter in a pan and sauté 1 chopped medium onion until softened

  3. Add 1 tsp minced garlic and 1 tsp minced ginger to the pan and cook for 1 minute

  4. Stir in 1 tbsp tomato paste and cook for 1 minute

  5. Add 1 ½ cup crushed tomatoes to the pan

  6. Season the sauce with 1 tbsp garam masala and ½ tsp each of turmeric, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper

  7. Cook the marinated chicken separately until cooked through

  8. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce

  9. Stir in ⅓ cup fat free greek yogurt and 2 tsp honey

  10. Optional: add ½ cup milk or water to thin out the sauce if desired

  11. Simmer until flavors combine

  12. Top with cilantro and yogurt or coconut milk

  13. Serve with naan, rice, or eat on its own
