Pistachio Rose Shortbread

1 cup flour

¼ cup ground pistachios

⅓ cup sugar

⅓ tsp salt

1 stick cold butter

¼-½ tsp rosewater

    1-2 TB of cold water (if needed)

  1. Preheat oven to 325°

  2. Grind ¼ cup pistachios with a blender or food processor and mix with flour

  3. Cut in butter using pastry knives, food processor, etc

  4. Mix in rose water and cold water if using and press into a buttered casserole pan

  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes

  6. Cut into squares while still warm

  7. Cool and serve
