Mix your yogurt flour and baking powder with a spoon until the dough is shaggy. Finish off with your hands until the dough comes together, it will be sticky.
Break of nuggets size pieces and roll between your hands a few times lightly (you don't want a tight ball but more of a rough nugget shape) cover them while you heat your oil.
Use a deep frying pan heat some oil, I test this with a wooden spoon or a small piece of dough. It's the spoon bubbles should appear around the spoon within 5 seconds and with the dough it should float to the surface.
Add as many as can comfortably fit in the pan (you want them to be able to move around so not more then ⅔ full. Let them flat to the top (give them a nudge with the spoon if they don't float) keep moving them around every minute or so and let them cook for 3-4 minutes. They should be dark golden, don't take them out too early or the inside won't be cooked.
Place them on some kitchen towel to drain excess oil and then straight into the sugar.
Enjoy warm or cold but wait at least 10 minutes before eating.
