Texas Roadhouse-Inspired Rolls
Ingredients:
1 packet active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup melted butter
1 egg
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
Activate the Yeast:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Mix the Dough:
Add melted butter, egg, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
First Rise:
Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape the Rolls:
Roll out the dough and cut it into squares using a pizza cutter. Place them on a baking sheet.
Second Rise:
Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve & Enjoy!
Instructions:
Best enjoyed warm with butter or honey cinnamon butter.
