Melt the ½ pound of butter in a stockpot
Add the ½ of a yellow onion and cook until translucent
Add the 1 ½ cups of high fructose corn syrup ketchup
Add the ½ cup of apple cider vinegar
Add the 2 ounces of lightly packed light brown sugar
Add a little more than 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
Add a little more than 1 teaspoon of black pepper
Add a little less than 1 teaspoon of chili powder
Add a little less than 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Add the ½ a lemon
Stir and let simmer for a bit to let the flavors meld
