Crème Brûlée Stuffed French Toast Sticks
  1. Make custard sandwiches by spooning custard onto a slice of brioche, topping with another slice and pressing together

  2. Let the sandwiches sit for 10 minutes so the custard soaks in

  3. Whisk together the eggs, single cream, milk, sugar and cinnamon

  4. Trim the crusts and cut each sandwich in half to make 2 sticks

  5. Lightly air-fry the sticks to dry them out without browning

  6. Melt butter in a pan over low-medium heat

  7. Dunk each stick in the egg mixture and cook until golden, working in small batches

  8. Place cooked sticks on a cooling rack

  9. Sprinkle white sugar into a clean dry pan over low-medium heat and let it melt

  10. Once golden, reduce heat and dip each stick to coat both sides using tongs or forks

  11. Set on a rack to cool

  12. Serve with extra vanilla custard for dipping
