Baked French Fries à la Jacques Pépin
  1. Slice potatoes.

  2. Soak them in water.

  3. Pat them dry.

  4. Oil and season them as desired. (Jacques holds off on the salt until after taking them out of the oven. I don’t know why.)

  5. Bake 425° for 45 minutes.
