For syrup - Add water and sugar in a pot and dissolve sugar. Liquid should be clear and slightly thick.
Peel mandarins and remove white pith as much as possible.
Slice thinly and place into the 1.5 litre slow cooker.
Pour syrup over sliced peel.
Turn on slow cooker to low and let it cook for around 5 hours.
Pour/spoon into sterilized jars put lid on while still hot and let cool.
